Did anyone travel to India, by landing at Delhi Intl airport, and then proceeding to other destination city through a domestic airline?
Never been to Delhi, and I have no idea how Intl and domestic travel works in tandem...

Once while coming back from from Mumbai via Delhi, we did not have to change the flights, sat in the same flight to London.
And on other occasion where the connecting flight was Sahara to a Local Indian airport, we had to take our luggage and go to the Delhi domestic airport.
While in both cases, the Airline would arrange for the transport, Delhi has an inside route for passenger transfers(other vehicles are not allowed), while in bombay the bus goes thru the city, where the traffic is always severe.
In both the airports, if you are landing in the late morning (after 3-4am), you should follow up with the local airlines transport co-ordinator( bus driver ;)), to see what time is he gonna wake up and take you to the domestic airport.
Once when my inlaws were transferring from Bombay local to bombay international, they took a cab instead, as Jet airways did not have a bus ready to take the international passengers when they got out of the airport.

The reason why EB2 India is moving so fast is because people with 2001 PDs are stuck in BECs. Once they come to apply for I-140/I-485, EB2 India PD will retrogress to 2001 again. So the progress you are watching is an illusion.

Sadly Immigration voice is giving importance to the � number of posts� rather than �number of valuable posts� .
Some people are more interested to upgrade in their title by putting more number of comments, which will have no information.
I request every one to understand that these are just somebody thoughts/comments some time they may be correct and some times

IV doest evaluate posts of members or give more or less importance to quantity or quality of posts.
The software we use for forums (Joomla) is preconfigured to make a person "Senior member" when he/she posts 100 messages.
IV core group or leadership doesnt have any interest in rating the quantity or quality of any posts from any members.
Some people are more interested to upgrade in their title by putting more number of comments, which will have no information.

Hello All,
Finally we got all the receipt numbers today. We (I and family) had filed at NSC on July 2; called USCIS today and IO said the data was entered in the system yesterday (Oct 29).. he also gave me and my family's receipt numbers.
This should give all of who are waiting for Receipt Notices some hope !!
I know its very frustrating; but be a little more patient is what I can say at this moment ..! Good things dont come easy is what I learnt from all this exercise..

It will reduce net pay for citizens of countries without totalization agreements with India, specially because the EPF contribution in India applies to total gross pay without any upper limit.

Very simple. Impose some kind of a tax for companies not registered in India but have employees more than 20,000. Kinda foolish to do this but I guess a small tx would get the money back.

My I-140 receipt date was May 31,2006.I got my approval on 27th Dec 2006.So it took them 7 months to approve my case.

Can I apply for H1 B extension on my own or does it have to go through an immigrtion attorney?
I will be applying for 7th yr H1 based on an ongoing GC process. I 140 approved . I 485 pending.
Is this process any different from normal H1B application ( the first 6 years)

I am working on H1B. Recently what has happened that my family lives in state A, and I am working in state B. My family could not move to state B because my sone is going to school. I have to pay alot of expenses to go back and fort from state B to A, like air ticket and cab ect. I talking to my compnay regarding this and they said that whatever are my expenses submit to every month end and he will send a check for those expenses which will be pre taxed amount. i.e. if my pre taxed salary is $ 5000 per-month , if I submit expense statemet for $500. Then my employer will send a check of 500 and paystub i.e. direct deposit after applying tax on $4500.
I am not sure whatever he is suggesting is good tyhing to do and it will not have any problem for me.

Your paystub will still mention salary to be 5000, however it will show $500 in pretax expenses and so 4500 will be the amount deposited and taxed. For H1 purposes, you are still being paid $5000.
One thing I am not sure of: as mentioned in one of the posts above, can this be done more than one year? (i do not know the asnwer to this; clarify with your employer and their attorneys; it is not your headache anyway).

When I filed my AOS application I was in CA and still I am working in CA, I never worked / lived in MIAMI,FL.
If they have to transfer my case they would have transfered to some CA local office not to MIAMI,FL local office..

There is no problem here.
In the case 485 denial, if the applicant has a H-1b, then the applicant will continue to be in status via the H-1b. If the spouse had given up h-4 status by using EAD, then the spouse will have to activate the h-4 visa back.
If the 485 is rejected and the rejection is not by mistake, then the chances of getting back into the 485 queue and getting an approval are very slim. If the 485 is rejected by mistake, then it may be possible to stay on even without a H-4 while the mistake is being corrected.
Example: Back in 2000 my friend's 485 was approved, but his wife's approval did not show up. After waiting paitently for a few months, he initiated an enquiry and discovered that there was an RFE in his wife's case and the good lawyer did not respond to the RFE resulting in denial of her case. She was out of status at this point, but it was not a problem. The case was reopened by the lawyer and she went back to 485 status and her case was approved 4 years later.
In short, there is not much documentation or knowledge on the possible options after 485 denial. Mainly because 485 rejection is extremely rare. I would not worry about it. Go ahead and use your EAD if you have to.

Most of the american students (not all) does not develop the attitude and key qualities required for Higher education in science and technology. As per my observation, lot of them seems to have high ambition, which is good, but no focus on means to achieve it.
Overall development of personality and physique is good but the psychological preparedness to tackle the technical and scientific problem is lacking at a high degree. This can be attributed to the basic education system where the focus is on external physical and social development and hence they have good qualities for marketing but majority of the folks fail to realize that and instead of finetunning the strengths the lack of focus keep then working on other aspects during entire teen years. This is where they need direction from education specialists.
This is in contrast to what we see in south east asian countries where the focus is not on external and physical development but on cultivation of attitude and psychological preparedness which turns the students into science and technology much more than sports and fashion.
Even now their standard set for 3rd grade and 5th graders are way too low compared to Asian and European 1st & 2nd grades. Whole number to fractions transition does not take 2 grades. But understandably so, sudden changes in education standards will be harder on kids in immediate generation as the base is not set. Next gen will benefit.
