To get a copy of your I-140, you need to apply to USCIS using G-639 form. Please read the instruction of the form and you will know more. You need to mention your employer's info and I-140 receipt # etc.
Now a days it takes time. Almost 3 months.

Ok.. I spoke to the USCIS customer service. They want me to refile I -131 either e-file or paper based and send the original (wrong picture AP) along with it and also all the supporting documents (passport copies, etc)
What a pain....
If I were you, I will definitely do infopass before sending anything. Local USCIS office is likely to be helpful in this case.

Make sure you post all the required document 5 "working days" - If appointment is on monday then your papers should reach by Sat of previous week....
Appointment on 29th June means your papers should reach latest by 19th [4 days is for weekend and one day is overlap].....
I had a bad experience when I went for interview at Mumbai consulate - When I reached the office they told me my appointment has been cancelled reason - document did not reach as per the expected time....I had to spend 10 days to get the next appointment...It was not a problem for me as I am from Mumbai...

I already received the RFE , This is what it says :
"On the supplement form to I-693, Adjustment of status applicant's documentation of Immunization you provided, the civil surgeon indicated that you have not obtained the required vaccination. As such, you are ineligible for adjustment of status until you present documentation showing you have received all required vaccination. all records are to be confirmed with documentation. The applicant cannot assert immunization without documentation and the physician subsequently document the lack of documentation requesting a waiver of immunization requirements. some immunization can be waived with just cause. A lack of documentation does not meet waiver requirement"
In I693 supplement form Doctor put Check on "Fully immune" column for Td, MMR and Varicella and also put the dates on when I received the vaccinations.
is there any other vaccination that is required ?
My wife also get the similar RFE , a little different language though

A few years ago this was the rule:
10 yrs visitor visa - can NOT stay > 180 days
5 yr visitor visa (same price as 10 yrs visitor visa) - can stay > 180 days but you have to register with appropriate agency in India. I got 5 yr visa for my son, he stayed there for 7 months. we had registered him in nearest police station.
So, in my opinion PIO is better - its like 15 yr visa.

The Financial regulation bill will go thru for sure, both Dem and Rep parties favor it, however the REP party is trying to resolve certain differences before bringing it to the table.
Immigration reform was never even considered to be taken up before financial reform ( It should have been taken up in early 2009 itself! ); so yes financial reform will go first - guess what? dems finally forced repugs to give in, and it is up for debate. As for the differences, there is plenty of it - and resolving it - hmm??
Both parties cannot afford to be seen as party of Wall street during nov elections.
One thing they can agree on is covering their own a**.

Can I file for the I-485 before july 1st 2007?
I doing my medical exam next week on the 20th, that's the earliest i could get in MA.
However i'm going to do my x-ray tomorrow, because i always test positive after the TB test, but x-ray negative. Does it hurt to do the x-ray earlier that the actual TB test (PPD)? my doctor said it does not hurt and he will accept it. Does any one know if there going to be a problem with that ?

Has the legal name of your company changed in the recent times. It happened in my case (used to work for a big 4 firm), the I-140 petition was filed with the name "123 extended business services LLC". Later the company lawyers applied another I-140 was filed with a name of "123 Consulting extended business services". Both my I-140's got approved within a gap of 3 months.

I am also in somewhat same situation. My Employer didnot pay me for one month and didnot provide paystubs for 4 months. ANy way I sucessfully joined a large corporation as they were willing to listen to my situation. When I ask for pay they say they will suit me as I have joined the client.

Did you get the AP? Did they ask more specific questions about the illness and why it is urgent etc. I am still trying to get the letter and am trying to find out what should be included on it. Also, was your letter faxed or scanned or did you get the original.

I actually went to my appoitnment this morning at my local uscis office, the lady was nice. but i was told that the hospital letter need to state what are my granma's sickness instead just sayong terminally ill. and she had me to go back with a new letter tomorrow, and if her supervisor approves it, I will get it right away.

You can open up an IRA account with any of the brokerage firms like Scottrade, Fidelity or Ameritrade. You usually open up an IRA account first on their website or by visiting their offices in your area. Then contact your company's 401K provider to transfer your 401K amount to the new account directly. They usually would sent you a check in the name of your brokerage firm like Fidelity.As far as I know the check cannot be in your name coz then the IRA would tax the 401k amount and also charge an early withdrawal penalty.So make sure they transfer it directly to the brokerage firm. If things are not clear, you can always contact the customer service of your brokerage firm to help you or walk you through.But I also found that many times the customer service people are not up to the mark and may even provide you with wrong advice. So its better you call several times and speak with different customer service people at the brokerage firm and verify all the information.
I personally did not like the fact that your company is forcing you to sell your stocks and mutual fund in your 401K account. This is bad as you may occur losses because of the bad market scenario.

Hey there, I guess, I better understand where you are coming from. I would think, generally a more multi-cultural and tolerant town, perhaps NYC or NJ / Philly / ATL or California could better fit what you are looking for.
